Chris Gaskell

I have worked in the web for 24 years. In that time I have been responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering CMS implementations, social platforms and internet based applications.

Primarily I'm a web developer using the Microsoft product stack (C# + VB) 1.1 / 2.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 - Web forms, MVC, SQL Server, XHTML 1.0 + CSS, JavaScript (dom scripting and UI ajax development). I have been using the Microsoft .NET framework since its release in 2001. I frequently use the growing number of platforms applicable to web application development including DVCS (Git), Teamcity, Octopus Deploy, Elastic Search, Lucene, Redis & MongoDb.

Using both the Umbraco and Sitecore CMS .NET platforms on a number of large projects has allowed me to build a thorough understanding of these systems and most of my work in the last couple of years has been with this technology.

Taking lead roles over the last 19 years has given me the opportunity to take an interest in the development process; typically continuous integration, testing, performance and architecture best practice. I have in depth experience with continuous integration and deployment systems along with application unit testing and mocking frameworks.
